Adventure Albany/Denmark

Hi Friends and Family,

This time a bit earlier because of my trip to Albany and Denmark two weeks ago.. A great adventure with Olga from France.. We left on Thursday may 18 with the car of my hostdad and after 3.5 hours we arrived in Albany.. We did some shopping and after that we went to a beautiful place named Frenchmanbay.. Wauw!! Blue water and rocks everywhere, it was Amazing! We made lots of photos and we walked around the beach..

It was really cool and so beautiful that we stayed there a bit longer just looking around.. A nice first afternoon at Albany.. Then it was time to get some pizza and a beer haha.. time for relaxing hihi.. We booked a room at airbnb and we checked in after dinner.. Really nice people and we had our own door and bathroom.. so we didn't have to go through the house all the time! It was 40 min walking from the city of Albany and we walked to the city on the Friday to get to know some more about the history of Australia and New Zealand.. We went to the Anzac national centre, a museum about the soldiers who died or survived the WO 1. Before you go in the museum, you get a card with a person who fight in the WO and you get to know the person a lot better.. when you leave the museum you know if your person died or survived the WO 1. It was interesting to figure out how the first Worldwar was and to know a lot more about the history of Australia.. All the horses that died during WO 1.. So much horses who didn't come home.. So Sad! But a nice museum with lots of information about the journey of all the soldiers.. less we forget!

Saturday we went to Denmark.. about 45 min driving from Albany.. Lovely little city and nice coffee. we walked around a bit and did some shopping.. the elephant rock was the second stop and that was really amazing, beautiful view, beach and rocks.. Wauw wauw wauw!!

after that we did tree top walking and everyone who really knows me will know that i don't like heights.. so i did something that I normally wouldn't do.. i'm proud of myself because it was awesome!! 40 metres above the ground... It was so cool!! Loved it.. on Saturday night we went to the pub in Albany with a few other girls also from France.. A nice night out in Albany..On the last day we went to a other nice place close to frenchmanbay.. it was raining and the water was splashing around us.. not really nice but the view was beautiful so that made it a lot better.. We also went to little beach, a great beach with dolphins in the water.. So cool! We watched them for a while and enjoyed it. Beautiful animals..

On the monday it was time to go home but not straight away because the tyre of the car wasn't good anymore so we need to call a garage to put the spare tyre on the car.. because i can't fix that haha... Adventure again!! But we arrived back home after a long time waiting because he needs to fix the car tyre..

Albany was Lovely, amazing and beautiful!! I had a great time and a nice friend with me... Enjoyed it!! Explore WA!! In about a month my adventure here will be over but it feels like home here.. So i will come back in a few years that's for sure....

I hope you enjoyed reading this long story about or aupair trip to Albany... WA is a really beautiful state and so much to see.. Australia is not only Sydney people...visit WA too!! I fell in love with WA... great time here!!

See Ya!! No worries i'm still ok...

Love,

Paula
